Campers Inn Receives Recognition

Care Camp Foundation recognized Jeff Hirsch and Campers Inn RV on Tuesday for contributing more than $1 million in recent years during the Spotlight on Excellence Lunch at the RVDA Convention/Expo.

The lunch honored dealers and manufacturers for successes in the past year, but the Care Camps recognition recognized more than five years of commitment. The dealer chain’s contributions began with an employee giving campaign, progressed to a company matching effort and culminated with a gala hosted by the Hirsch family that contributed more than $400,000.

“They continue to sponsor all kinds of fun fundraisers, including one that was called pie your manager,” Care Camps Foundation Executive Director Gwynn Sullivan said. “This particular CEO donned a shower cap and actually took whipped cream pies in the face, because there were several of his employees that wanted to do a little extra fundraising for us.”

Care Camps Foundation is a nonprofit that funds pediatric oncology camps across the United States and Canada. In the past year, Care Camps funded over 120 camps that served over 41,000 children and their families.
