Care Camps Fdn. to be Featured on ‘Designing Spaces of Hope’
BILLINGS, Mont. – Care Camps Foundation, a national non-profit organization that funds pediatric oncology camps across the United States and Canada, is pleased to announce it will be featured on “Designing Spaces of Hope,” airing on Lifetime TV, Wednesday, September 24, 7:30 a.m. ET/PT. The full episode will also be available on carecamps.org after September 25 and will be live again on Lifetime TV, October 8, 7:30 a.m., according to a press release.
The episode highlights the Care Camps Foundation mission and impact, as well as showcases Happiness Is Camping, the first camp that began its legacy 41 years ago. Happiness Is Camping has been a pioneer in pediatric oncology camps, offering campers from over 15 hospitals across the Northeast a chance to enjoy fun activities, lasting friendships, and life-changing memories. This special episode focuses on the heartwarming stories of campers and families attending this amazing camp.
“We are deeply grateful to the production team of Designing Spaces of Hope and all the sponsors who made this special program happen,” stated Gwynn Sullivan, Care Camps Foundation, Executive Director. “Happiness Is Camping is a shining example of all the camps we fund across North America, and our goal is to give more children with cancer the healing magic these camps offer.”
“Care Camps Foundation is truly woven into the heart of KOA,” said Toby O’Rourke, president and CEO of Kampgrounds of America, Inc. “Each year, our properties, employees, and campers come together in inspiring ways to raise funds and awareness for these remarkable oncology camps. With September being Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, it’s the perfect time to shine a brighter light on the joy, hope, and healing these camps provide. We encourage everyone to take a few moments to learn more about this meaningful program and see the incredible impact it has on children and families.”
Special thanks to all the sponsors who made this production possible: BrandStar, Patrick Industries, Kampgrounds of America, Inc., Hyundai Hope on Wheels, The J.M. Smucker Company, Mattel Children’s Foundation, and especially to Happiness Is Camping, for their inspiring and heart-warming contributions.
