Care Camps Welcomes New Executive Director and Staff Changes

Gwynn B. Sullivan PhotoBillings, MT – Care Camps announced today, Gwynn B. Sullivan, MSN, will be serving as the new Executive Director of the charity. Sullivan’s portfolio demonstrates over three decades of service and leadership nationally and internationally in the healthcare industry.

Bringing inspiration and innovative solutions to large-scale initiatives, Sullivan has led the development and implementation of award-winning programs to transform healthcare delivery for people living with serious illness. In her most recent position as Program Director for the National Coalition for Hospice and Palliative Care, she spearheaded the coalition’s work to expand national clinical practice guidelines that included integrating quality pediatric care.

As a nurse, Sullivan has a deep connection to caring for vulnerable children. “My first job out of college I worked on a pediatric unit at the University of Virginia Medical Center where we took care of the sickest of children and their families,” Sullivan shares. “That experience is forever embedded within me.”

As the new Executive Director of Care Camps, Sullivan will facilitate strategic planning, create viable infrastructures, develop key communications, and evaluate strategies that leverage sustainability within the charity. Most importantly, Sullivan has the expertise to sustain and build relationships among Care Camps stakeholders.

“Gwynn comes to us with many years of successful leadership positions with nonprofits and has the vision to lead our organization to new heights. The Board of Directors, Care Camps staff, and I are thrilled to welcome Gwynn to Care Camps,” said Wade Elliott, Board Chairman.

Sullivan combines the heart of a nurse and visionary leadership with a strengths-based approach to elevate existing talents and resources. To that end, Care Camps is pleased to announce the following staff changes. Erica Lanter will serve as Communications Director, Lexi Bickford, Program Coordinator, and Jennifer Mercer will continue in her role as Development Director.
