Care Camps Foundation will team up with RVDA on a fundraising competition called Compete for Kids!
September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month. In honor of the month, RVDA and Care Camps Foundation are hosting the friendly competition. Participating RV dealerships nationwide will compete with each other in raising funds to send kids with cancer to camp.
Bragging rights are on the line, and each dealership location will have creative and fun ways to beat their RV industry colleagues.
RVDA President Phil Ingrassia said, “As an RVDA board-approved in-kind charity, Care Camps Foundation plays a vital role in providing children with cancer—and their families—a traditional camp experience that fosters community and a sense of belonging. RVDA is pleased to stand alongside many others in the RV and outdoor hospitality industries to support Care Camps Foundation and the organization’s life-changing work.”

Jenna Berneck, Care Camps Foundation development director, said the fundraising campaign is a powerful example of the RV industry coming together to make a difference.
“RV dealerships across the country are joining forces to raise critical funds that send kids with cancer to these magical camps,” Berneck said, “where they can experience joy, hope, healing and friendship in the great outdoors.”
Last year, Care Camps Foundation awarded $2 million to 117 pediatric oncology camps. Collectively, the camps served over 41,000 kids living with cancer along with their families.
