Care Camps Foundation Unveils 23-Member Young Professionals Board
Care Camps Foundation is proud to announce the confirmed members of its inaugural Young Professionals Board. The group of emerging leaders from across the outdoor hospitality, RV, camping, recreation and business communities will help lead fundraising, community engagement and special events supporting camp experiences for children with cancer across the United States and Canada, according to a press release.
Created to engage the next generation of philanthropic leaders, the Young Professionals Board will help grow long-term donor engagement for Care Camps Foundation. One of the board’s primary initiatives will be the development and leadership of an annual signature fundraising event designed to bring together industry leaders and outdoor enthusiasts in support of pediatric oncology camps.
“The Young Professionals Board represents an exciting opportunity to unite individuals who are passionate about leadership, philanthropy and creating meaningful experiences that support children with cancer and their families,” said Jenna Berneck, development director for the Care Camps Foundation. “This group will play an important role in creating new fundraising opportunities while also building long-term relationships with the outdoor hospitality and RV communities.”
“Young professionals can bring fresh ideas, strong energy and a collaborative spirit to Care Camps Foundation,” said Garett McKinnon, chair of the Young Professionals Board. “One of the projects we are most excited about is creating a signature fundraising event hosted at a campground featuring weekend-long festivities, outdoor experiences and a banquet recognizing some of Care Camps Foundation’s most impactful partners and supporters. We believe it can become a meaningful event that brings people together around a shared purpose.”
The board includes professionals representing a variety of industries and backgrounds who share a commitment to service, leadership and community impact.
