Commemorative Print Project

For the Love of Kids & Camping was created to further the Care Camps Foundation’s mission by raising funds and increasing awareness of the organization.

The commemorative print project, known as “For the Love of Kids & Camping,” is a passion project out of Helena, Montana. Shawn Peterson, owner of Tempest Technologies, has worked closely with KOA for over two decades where he was introduced to Care Camps Foundation and fell in love with the mission.

It is the intent of “For the Love of Kids & Camping” to raise funds and increase awareness of the Care Camps Foundation mission by giving business owners and individuals a way to personally connect with the mission of “sending children affected by cancer to medically supervised camps where they have a wonderful time in the great outdoors with other kids who understand what they are going through.”

Joe Heins, a local artist of Billings, Montana, is the artist behind our commemorative prints. The care and attention to detail put into the original oil painting is incredible and you can find a video of the creation of the prints on FortheLoveofCamping.com.

The project was started in 2019, and the first commemorative prints were available for the 2020 season. Each year, we will release a new print to add to the collection! The prints can serve as a unique moment and more importantly benefit Care Camps Foundation with a donation of 100% of the profits. In addition to large prints of each year’s chosen scene, you can get blank notecards, playing cards, postcards and stickers.

Own a campground, store, or RV business? We would love to introduce you to the team and start a conversation about how you can be involved with the project!
